Roulette
Black or red, odd or even. Spin away.
Roulette, the game associated with the plush gambling capitals of Europe, is right at home at the Meskwaki! It’s exciting and easy to play! Roulette chips are different from other casino chips because they vary in denomination and color. Each player receives a different color chip.
How to play
Roulette is a fun and simple game that provides exciting action. The player will exchange currency at the table for non-value Roulette chips, these are different colors for different players. Players may also bet with house value chips, but remember to keep track of your bets if using them.
There are several ways to bet on the Roulette layout which can be broken down to ‘Inside’ and ‘Outside’ bets:
Inside Bets
Straight Up – Pick one number and place your chip directly on it (Pays 35 to 1)
Split – Place your chip on the line between two numbers (Pays 17 to 1)
Street – Pick a row of three numbers (Pays 11 to 1)
Corner – Place your chip on the intersecting lines of a four number block (Pays 8 to 1)
Six Line – Covers Six numbers, place your chip like you are choosing two streets (Pays 5 to 1)
First 5 – Like the Six Line bet but for 0,00,1,2 and 3 (Pays 6 to 1)
When playing these bets you may place several chips on each bet. For example: three chips on a winning split will pay 3 x 17 or 51 chips. There is usually a house minimum of $5 for each spin on Inside Bets. You may bet on 0 or 00 just like any other number.
Outside Bets
Even Money Bets – Red or Black, Odd or Even, High or Low (Pays 1 to 1)
Dozens – Place your chips in the box next to the block of 12 numbers (Pays 2 to 1)
Columns – Place your bet in the box at the bottom of each column of 12 numbers (Pays 2 to 1)
Outside Bets require a minimum of $5 for each bet made. If 0 or 00 hit, all Outside Bets will lose
A few simple rules for roulette
You can purchase color chips at the table for $1, $5 or $25 for each chip.
When playing with color chips, please make sure you exchange all color chips for cash chips before leaving the table.
If someone has made a bet where you want to, simply put your chips on top of their bet.
Please wait until the number marker has been removed and the dealer has announced ‘place your bets’ before making any new bets on the layout.
Bet early: don’t be caught out once the dealer has announced ‘no more bets’.
